Our Providers

Our Team

Cendity Health is a new independent family medicine practice in the heart of Northampton. Our providers care for patients of every age, from newborns to grandparents, and many families have been with us across two and three generations. We keep our practice small on purpose: it lets us know our patients as people, spend real time in the exam room, and coordinate care that follows you through every stage of life. Below, get to know the physicians, nurse practitioner, and physician assistant who serve Northampton and the surrounding Pioneer Valley.

Susan M. Reyes, MD — Family Medicine

Dr. Dr. Reyes founded Cendity Health and sees patients of every age. She earned her medical degree at UMass Chan Medical School and completed her family medicine residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Board-certified in family medicine, she has a particular interest in women’s health, preventive care, and helping patients manage diabetes and high blood pressure over the long term. Outside the office, she is an avid gardener and a familiar face at the Tuesday farmers’ market downtown.

Daniel C. Okonkwo, MD — Family Medicine

Dr. Okonkwo brings a calm, thorough approach to every visit. He completed medical school at Boston University School of Medicine and his family medicine residency at the University of Connecticut. Board-certified in family medicine, he focuses on cardiovascular risk reduction, men’s health, and the care of older adults who are managing several conditions at once. He and his family live in Easthampton, where he coaches his daughter’s youth soccer team on weekends and is always on the hunt for a good cup of coffee.

Rebecca S. Feldman, DO — Family Medicine

Dr. Feldman is a board-certified family physician who trained at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Albany Medical Center. As an osteopathic physician, she often incorporates osteopathic manipulative treatment into her care, and she has a strong interest in sports medicine, joint and muscle pain, and adolescent health. A longtime distance runner, she has finished several New England half-marathons and enjoys getting out on the Manhan Rail Trail whenever the weather cooperates.

Karen A. Whitfield, FNP-BC — Family Nurse Practitioner

Karen Whitfield is a board-certified family nurse practitioner who has cared for patients in the Pioneer Valley for more than a decade. She earned her master of science in nursing at the University of Massachusetts Amherst after beginning her career as a registered nurse. Her clinical interests include adolescent and young-adult care, women’s health, chronic disease management, and taking the time to help patients truly understand their own health. She lives in Hadley with her husband and two rescue dogs.

Marcus T. Bell, PA-C — Physician Assistant

Marcus Bell is a certified physician assistant who works closely with our physicians across the full range of family medicine. He completed his physician assistant training at MCPHS University in Worcester and has particular experience with acute illness, minor in-office procedures, common skin conditions, and helping patients build healthier daily routines. Patients appreciate his straightforward, unhurried manner. A dedicated cyclist, he can often be found riding the back roads between Northampton and Amherst on his days off.
